Here is how you will have to Reset your Windows phone 7 device.
To reset your device you'd have to think whether to do a hard or a soft reset. Hard reset is a general term used to format your phone and restore your default factory settings and a soft reset is done when your phone has instability issues or it hangs pretty often. The soft reset flushes out your data in the RAM memory and gives you a faster running OS on your mobile device. Earlier on your windows mobile 6.5 and above, you normally had to press down certain keys on your device or you'd have to use a pin or a stylus to press the reset button inside the phone panel and so on.
However on Windows Phone 7 to make a hard reset you have to go to the Settings, About screen, where you'll find a "reset your phone" button. Hitting this button will revert the device back to factory condition. Though a soft reset is'nt neccessary for the windows phone 7 because it has far supperior firmware stability, but you can do it by just simply turning off the device and turning it on again or you can just direcly remove the battery and replace it back.
