Microsoft what were you thinking? No custom ringtones? why on earth do they not allow users to have their own personalised ringtone?
These are a really huge set backs for the younger generation of the tech saavy phone lovers. 30 to 40 ringtones are available as native tones and thats all you get! As of now the lastest firmware doesnt let you set your own ringtones (Yes not even a mp3 support). Maybe its possible to have custom tones in the future updates of the firmware but as of now microsoft are showing their empty hands! Luckily some carriers are cashing into this feature by providing more ringtones along with the subscription plans.
Maybe just maybe microsoft could sell more ringtones in their live market store, but who would want to spend their savings on a ringtone? This is one of the aspects that Windows phone 7 might lose its market to the already mighty Iphone and the Android devices. Lets wait it out and see the future updates on this features and for now lets keep our fingers crossed.
